Enrolment
How to Enrol
When considering enrolling at a school, it is important that you know what the school offers and whether that matches your educational values and beliefs. In order to ensure you know as much as possible about the school, we would recommend you undertake a guided tour of the school with the Principal, where you will be able to see the school in action and ask any questions you may have. You may even like to make a list of the things which are important to you before visiting us.
At the conclusion of the tour, you may elect to pick up an information pack which contains a Parent Handbook, application form and other relevant documents and information. Applications are made directly with the school.
In order to be able to enrol at Mornington Primary School you need to bring the following into the school office:
- Completed enrolment forms
- Original birth certificate (for proof of age) – we can make a copy for you
- School Entry Immunisation Certificate
If you are interested in enrolling at our school, please complete the Application Form from our office and send to mornington.ps@education.vic.gov.au or drop it in to our office.
An enrolment form will be provided when placement is offered.
Our school follows the Department of Education’s Enrolment Policy for the enrolment, placement, and transfer of students.
Students who live within the school zone are guaranteed a place at our school. To find out whether you live in zone, visit findmyschool.vic.gov.au
All other applications will be considered subject to available space, and prioritised according to:
- students with a sibling at the same permanent address who are attending the school at the same time
- all other students in order of closeness of their home to the school.
The statewide timeline for enrolments for 2024 can be found here;
